How to reg?
You'll find below a quick walkthrough to our new registration system, so you know what to expect when registration opens!
Previously, you had to create an account every year as the registration system was wiped after each convention. From now on, the account will remain and you will be able to reuse it for future editions.
Access registration website
You can access the registration website using :
the dedicated button on the homepage
from the menu in the “Attending” section then “Registration”
or directly via registration.fblacklight.org
Create an FBL account
From the Registration website homepage, you are able to :
Login to your FBL account via the login fields
Create your FBL account via the “Sign up” link at the bottom of the page.
If you don’t possess an account, it will be necessary to create one before registering to the convention.
To create your account, you need to provide the following information :
Username
First and last name
E-mail address
Password
Once your account is created, you can connect to the website and proceed with the registration.
Register to the convention
On the login screen, enter your credentials and sign in.
You are then invited to provide more information to complete your profile :
Last name
First name
Date of birth
Street address
Postal code
City
Country
You also need to accept the rules, terms and conditions before continuing with the registration.
You’ll be then able to fill up your event profile :
Nickname
T-shirt size
Indicate if you’re a fursuiter
Indicate if you want to participate to the “Win a Fursuit”
Specify a country for the the main language to display on your badge
Specify another language to display on your badge
Any medical conditions or potentially important details
Once your preliminary inscription is done, it will be reviewed and approved by our teams. You will be notified by e-mail once your registration is approved and you can then continue the process.
Once the preliminary inscription is approved, the registration page will be updated and you will be able to buy your ticket and room.
The selection screen offers to first choose your ticket type :
Attendee
Attendee+
Sponsor
Super Sponsor
More details about the different ticket types are also available on the dedicated webpage.
Once you pick your ticket type, you are invited to select your room type.
Make sure to select the exact same options as your roommate(s) :
Identical room type
Identical bed type
Identical early and late options
Keep in mind :
You pay for your spot in the room, not the room itself (except for the solo rooms)
You will be able to group up with your roommate after payment has been received.
You can then choose your arrival and departure options. You can arrive up to 2 days before the convention or depart up to 2 days after it.
A detailed recap will show up.
You will have two options :
Proceed to payment immediately
Save your selection and pay at a later date, as long as it’s within 7 days after registration.
If you save your selection, you will be able to return to payment via the button “Book”
Once the payment is completed, the homepage will display a summary of your registration.
You'll receive a confirmation e-mail.
You can now organize your roommates in the “Room” section.
By clicking on the button “Invite”, you can provide the badge number of your roommate(s).
They will receive an invitation by e-mail, as well as a notification on the main page of their account on the registration website.
Once the invitation has been accepted, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail and the “Room” section will display the avatar of your roommates.
Ticket upgrade
You can still upgrade your ticket type even after finishing your registration up to August 1st.
You can do so from the homepage by clicking “Upgrade”.
You are able to pick any type above yours.
In the present case, if you got the “Sponsor” ticket, you can upgrade to “Super Sponsor”
You will then be invited to pay for the upgrade.
Once the payment is done, the new status will update on the main page.
Ticket transfer
If you want to resell your ticket, you have to transfer it to another person.
The person must be already registered with an FBL account (cf Step 2).
From the homepage, select “Transfer” and fill out the e-mail address of the person that will receive your ticket to start the process.
