Introduction
By ticking the appropriate box during your registration, you accept the rules below. Once you have registered, you are deemed to have read and approved the rules, which will apply when you attend.
A waiver acknowledging you accept the rules without reservation must be signed to receive your participant badge. A digital version will be available a few weeks before the event, as well as a paper version on site if the first version has not been signed.
Chapter 1: General Regulations
All prohibited actions may result in a permanent ban from the event.
Any action or behaviour likely to cause interference in the organisation of the event, excessive inconvenience for other participants, or which may affect the relations of the Anthrofur association and the Board FBL with their clients, partners, the authorities or the public is strictly forbidden and may result in expulsion, or in the most serious cases, banishment from the event and a report to the competent authorities. No reimbursement of the convention and ancillary costs (hotel, transport, etc.) will be made if you are excluded from the event during it.
This general rule replaces all the others listed below and may be invoked at any time.
Article 1: Be respectful of others.
Article 2: Access to the space rented by the Anthrofur association for the FBL event is strictly reserved for participants with a valid badge for the current year, authorised partners and hotel staff.
Article 3: You are responsible for any damage you may cause to property, persons and premises, whether to the hotel, the Anthrofur association and/or individuals.
Article 4: You must comply with the instructions given by personnel in authority during the event (members of the FBL event management boards, members of the Anthrofur association board of directors, hotel or security staff).
Article 5: Intimidation, like harassment, whether physical, moral or criminal, constitutes an offence in accordance with article 222-33-2-2 of the French Penal Code. Its offence may give rise to legal proceedings.
Article 6: Please be aware that we share certain areas of the hotel.
Article 7: You must dress appropriately or soberly. We reserve the right to refuse your clothing and/or to ask you to change. Collars with leads, collars with spikes, choke collars, bracelets with spikes, bracelets with D-Rings, handcuffs, harnesses (except those made of nylon for fursuits), military outfits, all tight-fitting outfits that strongly suggest intimate parts (spandex, lycra, latex) and nudity (partial or total) are forbidden outside any eventual places and times explicitly indicated by the event management office. If you have any doubts and before the convention, you can create a ticket on https://help.fblacklight.org. During the convention, do not hesitate to contact the safety team.
Article 8: Any sexual behaviour is forbidden in public places.
Article 9: Adult displays of any kind are not permitted (NSFW drawings, fetish equipment (pup play, age play, BDSM), rubber, latex and vinyl costumes) outside any eventual places and times explicitly indicated by the staff.
Article 10: Narcotic products and dangerous objects (sale, offer, consumption) are prohibited by French law and may result in banishment and reporting to the police (Art. L. 3421-1 of the French Public Health Code and Art. 222-37 of the French Penal Code).
Article 11: The possession and use in public of certain products with unclear legal status, which may lead to disputes between the public services and the organising body, may be prohibited at the discretion of the event organising team.
Article 12: Statements inciting discrimination, harassment or violence based on ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation or identity, age, religion or nationality are strictly prohibited (Article 225-1 of the French Penal Code).
Article 13: The wearing, displaying and propaganda of symbols reminiscent of organisations that have been convicted of crimes against humanity are strictly prohibited in accordance with article R645-1 of the French Penal Code. This includes so-called ‘alt-furry’ movements.
Article 14: Any abandoned items will be passed on to the lost property department and kept for a maximum of 3 years. Do not leave your belongings and luggage unattended. Any suspicious parcel or luggage left unattended may result in the activation of the Vigipirate plan (intervention by the police and a team of experts) by the hotel staff.
Chapter 2: Registration
Article 1.1: You must be at least 18 years of age on the day before the first day of the event, no exceptions will be made.
Article 1.2: For safety reasons, children, toddlers and infants will not be accepted in the convention areas.
Article 2: You must present a valid original ID to obtain your badge from the con-ops at the beginning of the convention. Accepted forms of identification are: national identity card (European), driving licence (European), passport (international).
Article 3: Event activities are only open to registered participants who have paid the full registration fee. In accordance with our Terms and Conditions (Chapter 1, Article 3), no payment is accepted at the event.
Article 4: A badge, acting as an entry ticket, is valid for one edition only for the person to whom it has been assigned and may not be shared. Any loss or theft of this badge must be reported immediately to the FBL operations office (known as ‘Con-Ops’) during the event. Any sharing of a badge will result in the individuals involved being banned from the event.

Article 7: Modifying, altering or concealing information on the badge is strictly forbidden.
Chapter 3: Hotel
Article 1: Don't be too noisy in the corridors or in your room. Respect people who are sleeping! Any failure to comply will be passed on to the hotel's public order department and may also lead to sanctions by the organising team.
Article 2: Measures may be taken directly by the hotel, the FBL office and/or the Anthrofur association to expel individuals responsible for disturbances and/or damage observed, as well as failure to comply with the rules within the hotel and the convention space rented by the Anthrofur association.
Article 3: The number of people per room for sleeping must be respected. Any proven attempt at ‘room ghosting’ (residing in a hotel room without having declared oneself in advance at reception and having paid the difference in rate) will result in the banishment from the convention of all the occupants of the room in addition to any sanctions taken by the hotel hosting the convention.
Article 4.1: Rooms are guaranteed to be available from 3pm on arrival and must be vacated by 12 noon on the morning of your departure date. Rooms must be returned in an acceptable condition according to the hotel's standards. Article 4.2: Hotel maintenance staff are instructed not to carry out any work or maintenance tasks in rooms where access and circulation are made difficult and/or dangerous by equipment belonging to the participants. Rooms with such equipment will be notified to the hotel management and the FBL office and will not be maintained for the duration of the stay. This includes changing bedding and household linen. Article 5: Although the hotel accepts small pet dogs (14kg max) for an additional fee, we ask you not to bring them with you for reasons relating to the safety of property and persons and for the well-being of the animals themselves, with the exception of duly equipped assistance animals and on presentation of documents and authorisations specific to the situation (in particular guide dogs and therapy dogs).
Article 6: The use of firecrackers, pyrotechnic accessories and other fireworks is prohibited.

Article 15: The use of mobility devices, whether motorised or not (gyroskates, gyropods, scooters, bicycles, rollerblades, etc.), is prohibited in the hotel and the convention centre.
Article 16: Please give priority to people with reduced mobility and fursuiters (in that order) in the lifts, when getting on and off. Do not damage the lifts, respect the maximum authorised number of passengers indicated at the entrance (the official FBL signage prevails at all times) and, for safety reasons, do not hinder their smooth operation. If possible, do not hesitate to use the staircases provided in the convention centre.
Article 17: We would like to remind participants to be extremely careful with their drinks. Do not leave your drinks unattended. If in doubt, contact the organising team immediately. For safety reasons, any drinks left unattended will be disposed of by FBL staff.
Chapter 4: Equipment
Article 1: The rooms are rented with equipment. This equipment is made available and must not be moved or damaged.
Article 2: Any damage to equipment belonging to the hotel, the Anthrofur association or its service providers may lead to exclusion with invoicing for the amount of damage caused.

Article 1: Access to the fursuit lounge is reserved for fursuiters and their possible helper, subject to presentation of their badge with the ‘Fursuiter’ icon.
Article 2: We take no responsibility for any objects you leave in the Fursuit Lounge despite our numerous surveillance measures. Any object belonging to you is your responsibility.

Chapter 6: Image rights, taking of photos or videos
Article 1: By taking part in the event, you authorise the FBL media team to use, reproduce and communicate to the public the photos and videos taken during the event. The FBL event expressly refrains from using the photographs in any way that might infringe on privacy or reputation, and from using the various media in any pornographic, racist, xenophobic or other prejudicial exploitation. Any media publication of photos, videos, texts and other media using the logos and/or visuals of the Anthrofur association or the FBL may not be made without prior authorisation. You are of course entitled to use your own photos and videos for private, non-commercial purposes.
Article 2: As the hotel and convention centre are located in restricted airspace, drones are strictly prohibited.
Article 3: Videos and photos may be used by the FBL event media team, but will not result in any remuneration or compensation for their use. By registering, you accept that your image may appear during all public activities, without any possible reserve. We are not responsible for your appearance in videos or images taken by anyone outside the team. It is up to you to pay attention and to inform the videographer or photographer in question.
Article 4: Fursuiters, except in the event of a medical emergency, in the Fursuit lounge or at the request of the staff, keep your head out of your costume during group photos, and limit your removal in public.
Article 5: If you wish to take photographs in the public areas of the hotel and convention centre, please ensure that no member of staff or non-FBL hotel guest appears in your photos/videos in order to avoid any complications regarding image rights, or make sure you obtain the necessary authorisations beforehand.
By registering for the FBL, the participant acknowledges that they have read and accepted these rules in advance. They must present a valid original identity document in order to obtain their badge on site.
