Purpose of the association

The purpose of this association is to provide an accounting framework, administrative assistance and legal representation to the annual Furry BlackLight event and its Management Board.

Non-profit and disinterested nature

Anthrofur is a non-profit association that operates in a disinterested manner. This means that the association does not pursue any profit-making aims and that its members do not receive any remuneration for their activities within the association.

Data collection method:

  • When you use our website, personal data are collected when you carry out the following operations on the platform:

  • Registering for the event by filling in the associated forms on your own initiative.

The personal data collected as part of our activity is as follows:

  • ‘Fursona’ specie

  • Last Name

  • Postcode (Zip code)

  • T-shirt size

  • Preferred language of communication

These data are collected and processed for the following purposes:

Create and personalise their profile so that they can take part in the event:

  • Enable the user to identify themselves both physically and on our online services, which require authentication

  • Create a ticket for our support team

  • Check that the participant is of legal age

  • Design and order goodies (T-shirts, badges, etc.)

  • Manage the blacklist

For precision purposes:

  • Certain data such as the Early Arrival, fursuiter, artist option, are only used for anonymised statistics.

  • The preferred language of communication is only intended to enable us to communicate with the user in French or English, depending on the option chosen.

  • Requesting a quiet room allows us, as far as possible, to organise a more suitable placement in the hotel.

  • When accessing our third-party services, such as Companion, the application does not have access to your personal data.

Use of e-mails

E-mail addresses collected from users are only used for transactional purposes, i.e.:

  • To send information relating to your event registration

  • To respond to user requests

  • To send important notifications about the service and the event.

They are never used for commercial prospecting or marketing communications.

Purpose of collecting personal data

The sole purpose of collecting personal data on registration.fblacklight.org is to verify the identity of participants in the face-to-face event and to produce the goodies associated with the various sponsorship levels.

Retention of personal data

The personal data collected on registration.fblacklight.org are kept in the ‘active database’ only for the time necessary to organise the face-to-face event beforehand and to verify the identity of participants during the event, and this for a limited period of one year. They are then stored securely in an ‘intermediate archive’, with consultation access possible only in the event of a legal dispute or judicial investigation, these data are processed by a limited operational list and kept for a maximum of 5 years.

Please note that prior to 2023 the data were systematically destroyed and an intermediate database did not exist.

Non-use and non-resale of personal data

In accordance with the regulations in force, we inform you that the personal data collected when you register on registration.fblacklight.org are intended solely for processing your participation in the event and will not be used subsequently or resold to third parties. We will only disclose this data to the competent authorities in the event of a court order or with your express consent.

Individual rights

In accordance with the regulations in force concerning the protection of personal data, the persons concerned by the collection of their data on registration.fblacklight.org have a right of access, rectification, opposition and deletion of their data in the active database. However, these data are necessary for the smooth running of the event and their deletion would result in the cancellation of participation in the event, whether current or future.

We recommend that if you have a place, to first proceed to its exchange and then request the deletion.

These cookies are not used by the Anthrofur association to collect personal data about visitors to the site.
